Classes: Dance Program and Performance Companies

Pre-Professional & Dance Company Programs (ages 8 - 18)

PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
The Pre-Professional Program is designed to develop well-rounded young dancers. It was created to provide them with an exclusive experience to study with others who want to make achievement in dance a priority. The program teaches the rewards of discipline, hard work and the joy of team work.  It increases self-esteem as students improve and receive accolades for their achievements. This exciting program also provides many opportunities for experiencing the joy of performance. Audition is required for admission into the program.

Teen Company : developed for dancers aged (13-18.) This is an intensive company created for aspiring dancers. CoMMotion Movers are required to take a minimum of 5 classes each week and a rehearsal.  Required classes include a minimum of two ballet classes a week, two jazz classes and a contemporary class.  Pre-requisites: 3 years of continuous jazz and ballet training and be at a high intermediate to advanced level.  (Level III in T/A Jazz and Ballet). Cost: $3200 for the year. 

5 Mandatory classes are 2 Ballet, 1 Jazz, 1 Contemporary and 1Turns and Leaps

Junior Company : (ages 10-13 ) created to help you attain your dance dreams.  Requirements are to take a minimum of 4 classes a week and a rehearsal. Pre-requisites: 2 year of previous training in Jazz and Ballet. Cost: $2900 for the year.

4 Mandatory classes are 2 Ballet, Jazz and 1Turns and Leaps

CoMMotionettes: (ages 8-10)   Our youngest dance troupe was created for the young dancer that wants to develop their skills and perform within the community. Munchkins have a minimum requirement of 3 classes per week and a company class. Pre-requisites: 1 years of continuous jazz or ballet training and be at a intermediate level.  (Level II in Jazz and/or Ballet) Cost: $2400 for the year.

3 Mandatory classes are 1 Ballet, 1 Jazz and 1 Hip-Hop or Acro Dance

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Prior to auditioning for a company, please understand that this is a team endeavor.  Your attendance is a must.  Accepting a spot in one of our dance teams, you are making a commitment to an entire team. The team depends on your presence at classes, rehearsals and performances.  

The ages are an approximation; technique and style are the major variables for being accepted into each company.
